Multi-agency group collaborates on crime prevention and community issues with the power of Microsoft Dynamics CRM

The Government of Saskatchewan’s multi‑agency initiative Community Mobilization Prince Albert (CMPA) brought police, social services, schools, health and corrections together to identify and support at‑risk children, youth and families. The effort was hampered by fragmented, inconsistent data stored in Access and Excel files on local laptops, creating privacy risks, version‑control problems and limited analytical capability.

The CMPA moved to Microsoft Dynamics CRM to centralize and secure de‑identified case data, enforce structured entry and control access across agencies while retaining easy export for analysis. The CRM-enabled Hub process improved collaboration and case management, helped resolve many high‑risk situations without formal files, contributed to a downward trend in youth violent crime and produced 50% fewer police contacts in the six months following Hub interventions; the CRM template is now used across 12 provincial Hubs and adopted elsewhere in Canada.
