A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Lincoln University, New Zealand’s specialist land‑based university founded in 1878, was handling more than 4,000 paper applications a year and facing slow, error‑prone enrollment processes and growing administrative overhead. IT leadership sought a single, secure portal to streamline applications, improve the student experience and reduce manual paperwork.
Working with Microsoft partner Fusion5, the university extended Dynamics CRM (with SharePoint Online and SQL Server 2014) and used SSIS to integrate CRM with its PeopleSoft student system to build the MyLinc portal. The paperless solution automated workflows, eliminated duplicate applications, reduced calls and administration time, enabled tailored communications to applicants, and set the stage to expand Dynamics CRM across the entire student lifecycle.
