Leading Russian fashion retailer delights customers with improved shopping experience

JSC Melon Fashion Group is one of Russia’s leading fashion retailers, operating 550 stores across seven countries and employing about 3,700 people. The group needed more flexible pricing, real-time visibility into cash register performance, and centralized marketing and loyalty capabilities because its legacy 1C system couldn’t support dynamic promos or effective campaign management.

Working with KORUS Consulting, Melon implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX (including the AX POS 2012 R3 module) to deliver a modern POS interface, flexible pricing, centralized sales data and a points-based loyalty program. The rollout cut cashier training time, enabled promos on demand, supported a rapid expansion into Poland in under two months, and helped drive a 7% increase in sales year-over-year as customers spent more per visit.
