KPMG helps accelerate relief fund disbursement, improves tracking and management of federal grants

KPMG worked with the State of Georgia’s Office of Planning and Budget, which needed a fast, user-friendly way to manage and track $3.58 billion in Coronavirus Relief Fund aid during the COVID-19 response. The challenge was to launch quickly, support evolving grant requirements, and improve oversight of applications, payments, and reporting using Microsoft Dynamics 365.

KPMG and GrantCare implemented a grant management solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service and extended with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Pages. The platform automated workflows, refreshed dashboards in real time, and improved transparency across agencies and local governments, helping OPB better track spending and potentially save millions in taxpayer dollars by managing the process in-house.
