Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) is a leading, award-winning Angolan retail bank that set out to grow digitally while maintaining highly reliable operations amid economic turbulence, power instability, and on‑premises outages. The bank needed to expand electronic channels, reduce branch dependency, increase back‑office capacity, and secure sensitive data across a large, dispersed workforce and more than 140 branches.
BAI adopted a cloud‑first strategy with Microsoft Azure, Office 365 (including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Dynamics 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security and a Windows 10 rollout, supported by Microsoft FastTrack and staff training. The move delivered 24/7 availability for key services, seamless communication and collaboration, about 2,000 Office 365 users, lower IT costs and improved IT ROI, helping BAI serve 1.1 million customers more efficiently.
