HEMA Maschinen- und Apparateschutz GmbH is a family-owned German manufacturer of bellows, clamping systems and glass safety windows (500 employees, €40M turnover) that serves global markets. Facing an unwieldy Excel-based product configurator and fragmented processes, HEMA set out to modernize its IT landscape with a Microsoft strategy centered on Dynamics CRM and an integrated configurator to improve data quality, transparency and operational efficiency.

By implementing Experlogix CPQ tightly integrated with Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and SQL Server, HEMA converted its Excel rules into a configurator, introduced workflows and product registration, and enabled team-based quote handling. The project delivered on time and on budget, cut errors to roughly 0.1%, shortened processing times, increased transparency and data quality, and was well received by employees.
