Coppin State University, a historically Black institution in Baltimore, Maryland, needed a better way to recruit, enroll, retain, and support a diverse student body—especially commuter and first-generation students. The university struggled with inefficient communication and a lack of personalized outreach, and turned to Microsoft Dynamics 365 through its partner Anthology to deliver more tailored student engagement at scale.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 was used as part of Anthology’s Reach solution, along with Apply and Succeed, to create personalized student journeys and timely messaging across the admissions process. Coppin also adopted Anthology’s Occupation Insight, powered by Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365, to give students career and labor-market guidance. The result was improved personalization, stronger recruitment and retention support, and a more data-driven student experience that Coppin is now expanding across the university.
