A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
GS1 Portugal, the private non‑profit licensed to manage GS1 standards in Portugal with about 7,000 member companies, launched a "Housekeeping" modernization program to overhaul its organization, processes and IT. Facing a fragmented proprietary system and the need to centralize contacts, better understand associates and improve service delivery across sectors, the association prioritized a CRM‑centric architecture to drive efficiency and customer intimacy.
With strategic consulting from Leadership Business Consulting and implementation by BOND, GS1 deployed Microsoft Dynamics CRM in a SaaS model integrated with SharePoint, the website, GS1 Sync and accounting systems, migrating historical data in a big‑bang cutover. The solution is now used across the organization, housing roughly 30,000 contact records and about 10 million interaction entries, and has improved information access, employee adoption, and KPIs such as new‑member acquisition, retention and collections while reducing infrastructure and deployment costs.
