A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Polypore, part of Asahi Kasei, is a global high‑tech manufacturer of microporous battery separators whose rapid growth—driven by organic expansion and acquisitions—left it with fragmented, isolated ERP systems and more than 700 inconsistent business processes. That lack of standardization created workflow, reporting, and deployment challenges across multiple languages, cultures, and production sites, and made it difficult to assign orders and benchmark performance consistently.
Polypore implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and used Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services on Azure to standardize processes, streamline deployments, and centralize data. The new ERP and LCS improved data reliability, made rollouts repeatable and predictable, sped technical support and learning‑material creation (answers up to 25–50% faster), reduced costs, and boosted IT and operational efficiency as Polypore expands into India, Thailand, China, and the U.S.
