Case Study: Griesser Group achieves unified, lean manufacturing and near-zero order errors with Microsoft Dynamics 365

A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study

Preview of the Griesser Group Case Study

Family-led European manufacturer opens new doors with ERP

Griesser Group is a family-owned Swiss manufacturer of market-leading solar shading solutions, founded in 1882 and operating across seven countries with about 1,300 employees. The company sought to move from a loosely coupled, locally run model to a harmonized, lean “Just in Time” manufacturing approach, but a patchwork of legacy systems across sites created poor visibility, inventory waste and inefficient intercompany processes.

After evaluating vendors, Griesser implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012—replacing seven legacy systems and rolling out AX beginning in 2015—to deliver one platform and one set of processes. The change cut order errors to almost zero, enabled 80% of orders to leave the factory without manual touch, tightened raw-material ordering and gave management deep cross-group visibility, driving significant efficiency and quality improvements.
