Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), a New Zealand tertiary provider with about 20,000 students and roughly 900 staff, was struggling with intense competition, changing learner needs (including demand for online and short-course options) and a lack of a sales-oriented culture and integrated analytics to manage prospective students and employer relationships.
Wintec moved its IT to the cloud—adopting Office 365, Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft Power BI with help from partners OA Systems and Enlighten Designs—and launched a multi-device enrollment portal that feeds live leads into CRM. The integrated solution improved lead nurturing and conversion rates, gave managers interactive sales-pipeline dashboards for better forecasting and trend spotting, strengthened employer engagement, and empowered staff to analyze data and act.
