Department of Health injects more clarity with Dynamics 365

The Australian Government Department of Health, which oversees health and aged-care policy for 24.6 million Australians, faced fragmented data, legacy point solutions and manual case-management processes that limited visibility, compliance and efficient service delivery amid rising healthcare demand and costs. The department needed a secure, centralised platform to deliver accurate, timely information and better citizen outcomes.

Working with partner Veritec the DoH deployed cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 using an Agile approach to build enterprise case management (starting with People Management) and replace bespoke systems. The solution centralised citizen data, enabled secure audit trails, streamlined workflows and reporting, reduced duplicate entry and data silos, improved compliance and the citizen experience, and created a scalable foundation for future services such as investigations, tobacco compliance and consumer-facing health portals.
