Coca-Cola Beverages Africa streamlines its operations with Microsoft solutions

Coca‑Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is the largest Coca‑Cola bottler in Africa, operating more than 40 plants and serving over 650,000 retail outlets across the continent. Born from a major 2016 consolidation, the company faced infrastructure redundancies, duplicated supply chains and blurred accountability, and needed seamless digital systems to enable the business to operate as a single, efficient organization.

CCBA implemented Microsoft solutions—including Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Apps, Teams and Yammer—to modernize finance, customer engagement, HR and analytics. The move stabilized BI, accelerated decision‑making, reduced virtual machines and on‑premises maintenance, and sustained communication during COVID‑19; IT costs fell from 2.85% of net sales revenue to just below 1.4%, with high user adoption (about 94% daily Teams usage and strong Yammer uptake).
