A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA), which supports 162 schools, 80,000 students and 15,000 staff, set out to modernize teaching and the “other side of learning” — school administration — after finding data and processes fragmented across the system. CEWA needed a unified, secure platform to streamline enrolment, attendance, finance and communications while ensuring equity of access for students in metropolitan and remote communities.
CEWA built on an Office 365 foundation with Microsoft Azure and rolled out Dynamics 365, a .NET portal, Teams voice integration, IoT and cognitive services to create a single digital hub. The integrated solution delivers unified student records across a pupil’s career, automated admin (billing, POS, asset and facilities oversight), rich analytics and predictive recommendations (for example, Year 3 literacy forecasts), and improved planning for staffing and facilities — all while improving security and accessibility across the system.
