A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study
Løvenskiold‑Vækerø’s subsidiary Løvenskiold Handel (MAXBO) is a long‑established Norwegian building‑supplies retailer that needed to serve professional customers with complex pricing, project‑based orders, and corporate accounts. Its existing B2C Magento site and on‑premises BizTalk/Dynamics AX stack couldn’t handle the millions of price permutations or the latency demands of B2B workflows, risking lost sales to faster competitors.
Working with iBiz Solutions, Løvenskiold built a hybrid integration using Azure API Management, Azure App Service and Table Storage in front of its BizTalk Server and Dynamics AX ERP. Ten APIs expose pricing, stock and order services, with nightly price updates and API key security; heavy load and complex logic are handled in the cloud while finalized orders route through BizTalk to the ERP. The result: response times dropped from 10–20 seconds to about 80 ms, 130,000 API calls in 30 days, 900 B2B customers in three months, new self‑service order tools and a clear path to a cloud ERP future.
