A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Study

Preview of the Apollo Case Study

Apollo’s productivity-enhancing cloud journey unlocks a road map for business innovation

Apollo, a leading Nordic tour operator serving over one million travellers with 10,300 employees, faced productivity drag from an on‑premises Dynamics CRM 2011 system, manual processes and fragmented survey tools. With 90% of staff depending on CRM and 128 business processes to migrate (a ~298 GB database), the company needed a secure, scalable cloud strategy that also improved GDPR compliance and reduced operational overhead.

Apollo moved to Dynamics 365 and Azure with partners Avega Group and CRM‑Konsulterna using a 1:1 upgrade, integrated phone and survey tools, and automated workflows (e.g., passport collection via Voice of the Customer). The cloud migration cut manual work by 95% (about 2.5 FTE), eliminated multiple paid survey services, improved compliance and data retention, unified customer views for better service, and opened the door to Power BI and future AI insights.
