Polytropic is a small French manufacturer and distributor of pool heating equipment (about 12 staff, €10M turnover) selling across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Rapid growth (25% YoY) exposed limitations in its on‑premises Microsoft Dynamics NAV system: outdated processes, poor real‑time stock and pricing visibility, serial‑number tracking errors and time‑consuming manual tasks that hampered sales and customer service.
In January 2019, working with partner DEE, Polytropic moved to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud and implemented barcoding/scanning and EDI integrations to automate inventory, serial tracking and supplier/transport data. The cloud solution gave field teams real‑time access, removed hardware constraints, cut errors and manual work, and—after a quick rollout—improved team coordination, communication and capacity planning; the company reported strong satisfaction and better readiness for future growth within six months.
