Zion China uses Azure IoT, Stream Analytics, and Machine Learning to evolve its Intelligent Diabetes Management solution

Zion China, a medium-sized provider of mobile healthcare services, faced significant challenges managing the scalability and real-time analysis of massive data volumes generated by its diabetes management solution. The company needed a smarter way to ingest data from patient devices and move from traditional analysis to proactive prediction. To address this, Microsoft partnered with them, offering its Azure cloud platform including IoT Hub and Machine Learning.

The Microsoft solution involved a re-architected system that used Azure IoT Hub for efficient data transmission, Stream Analytics for real-time processing, and Azure Machine Learning for generating predictive insights. This new architecture, which also secured data with SQL Database and visualized it with Power BI, made Zion China's operations more agile and cost-effective. The result allows the company to expand its business to top hospitals and healthcare organizations.
