Wowza brings ultra-low-latency, high-scale streaming service to live video providers

Wowza Video, through Wowza Media Systems, needed a streaming solution that could deliver ultra-low-latency video to a global audience at scale. To solve this challenge, it built the Wowza Streaming Cloud Ultra Low Latency Service on Microsoft Azure, using services such as Azure Resource Manager and Azure Traffic Manager.

Microsoft Corporation helped Wowza deliver sub-two-second end-to-end latency and support effectively unlimited simultaneous viewers, compared with the typical 15–30 seconds seen in many streaming setups. The solution also provided reliable bandwidth and strong performance in load testing across regions, enabling live video, interactive features, and mobile streaming for large audiences.
