A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
Wipro, a global IT and consulting company, wanted to strengthen employee learning and collaboration as part of its digital transformation, but faced the challenge of delivering consistent, high-quality training to more than 160,000 employees across geographies and hierarchies. To support this, Wipro used Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Yammer to launch a social learning program that would complement traditional training and help teams share expertise more effectively.
Microsoft’s Yammer enabled Wipro to build active communities of practice, improve peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and encourage innovation through group discussions, contests, and dashboards. The results included better customer satisfaction, repeat business through contract renewals, lower delivery costs, higher productivity, and stronger margins, with Yammer used by about 100,000 employees and several large, highly engaged learning groups driving momentum across the organization.
