Case Study: Mend achieves faster, scalable deployments with Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service

A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Mend Case Study

WhiteSource simplifies deployments using Azure Kubernetes Service

Mend, a professional services company based in Israel, needed a faster, more scalable way to deliver its open-source management platform while keeping deployments secure and easy to roll back. Microsoft Corporation’s Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) was used to re-engineer the solution, helping Mend simplify container orchestration and meet the demands of a cloud-based, security-focused workload.

Microsoft Corporation implemented a managed Kubernetes architecture on AKS alongside Azure Container Registry, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Virtual Machine Scale Sets, and Azure Database for MySQL. The result was quicker, safer releases with zero-downtime rolling updates, automated scaling, and simpler operations; Mend said it was able to create two clusters faster than with Amazon EKS and now uses AKS for all new development.
