Utility company improves collaboration, strengthens data security, and supports a mobile workforce with Microsoft 365

Meralco, the largest power distributor in the Philippines, was struggling with limited email and file storage, versioning issues from disconnected document archives, and the need to better support a growing mobile workforce. To address these challenges, Meralco turned to Microsoft Corporation’s Microsoft 365, including Office 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Windows 10, and Microsoft Intune.

With Microsoft Corporation’s Microsoft 365, Meralco improved collaboration by moving document sharing and editing into SharePoint and OneDrive, eliminating duplicate versions and enabling secure access to files from anywhere. The company also strengthened security with BitLocker, Windows Information Protection, and Intune for device management, while expanding storage to 5 TB per user and 50 TB of shared SharePoint space. As a result, Meralco reported higher productivity, better data security, and more mobile, 24-hour access to company data.
