University of Evry uses Microsoft Azure to teach students of their Master’s degree in Innovation Market and Data Science about Big Data

University of Evry needed a cloud platform that would give students in its Master’s program in Innovation, Market and Data Science hands-on experience with Big Data, machine learning, and data visualization tools used in the real world. The university chose Microsoft Corporation, using Microsoft Azure and related cloud services to support students who had limited time because they were alternating between school and work.

Microsoft Corporation, through its Microsoft Education program and with deployment support from Infinite Square, set up continuous access to Azure in just one day. The solution helped students work with technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, and by the end of the first year each student had received an average of 8 internship offers. The success led University of Evry to expand the program and extend Microsoft Azure to other courses.
