University introduces cloud technologies into the educational process, saves time and expense

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University faced a growing IT workload and limitations with its on-premises email system, which restricted capacity and accessibility for its large body of students and staff. To address these educational process challenges, the university worked with Microsoft to deploy a cloud solution built around Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus.

The Microsoft solution, implemented with the assistance of partner Softline Group, enabled remote collaboration and provided 100% email coverage with large storage capacity. This resulted in significantly increased user mobility, the development of a new e-culture, and the release of technical resources. The university also saved time and costs, and it is now considering using Microsoft Power BI to build an analytical system for educational process control.
