Globe University, a career college system with campuses across five states, faced the challenge of connecting its distributed faculty and students to share knowledge efficiently without requiring extensive travel. They sought a way to make their best instructors more accessible and to streamline internal operations. To address this, they partnered with Microsoft Corporation to implement a new communications solution centered on Skype for Business.

By upgrading to the Microsoft Skype for Business Server 2015 platform, the university enabled instructors to teach remote classes and streamlined collaboration for its 1,500 employees. Microsoft’s solution provided flexible learning for students, reduced travel for faculty meetings, and improved responsiveness to prospective students. The university reported that Skype for Business became absolutely critical to its operations, enhancing the quality and convenience of its educational experience across all its locations.
