United Bankshares, Inc., a large regional financial services company, needed a way to give employees secure, anytime-anywhere access to corporate information while ensuring a smooth deployment. As the bank modernized its workplace, it turned to Microsoft Corporation, using FastTrack for Office 365 along with Intune and Office 365 to support mobile device management and cloud-based collaboration.

Microsoft Corporation helped United Bankshares design and roll out a cloud-based MDM plan, including endpoint management and conditional access to protect data while allowing flexible device use. The effort is ongoing, but Intune is now in production alongside several Office 365 services, and the bank reports significant time savings from eliminating on-premises server updates, plus better integration, improved collaboration, and a stronger foundation for future mobility.
