Transforming digital communications with a new content delivery platform

StratosMedia, a small U.S.-based digital communications company, wanted to move beyond traditional digital signage and build a secure, two-way content delivery platform that could work across devices like smartphones, kiosks, and video walls. Using Microsoft Corporation technologies, including Azure and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, it set out to help organizations create more interactive, data-driven communications with stronger enterprise integration.

Microsoft Corporation helped StratosMedia implement a hybrid cloud platform that combines local device playback with real-time cloud analytics, content management, and automated scheduling. The solution enabled 4K playback over slower networks, reduced content delivery time from days to under two seconds, and cut one team’s scheduling effort from four full-time staff to just half a day per week. The platform has since been deployed in airports, transit systems, shopping centers, restaurants, and government agencies.
