Case Study: Fotoable achieves worldwide expansion with Microsoft Corporation Azure

A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Fotoable Case Study

Top mobile app developer pictures worldwide expansion on an elastic cloud platform

Fotoable, a China-based mobile app developer behind popular photo apps like FotoRus and PIP Camera, needed a more integrated way to support rapid global growth. The company had been using public cloud services, but its mixed infrastructure made it hard to synchronize data across regions and manage costs, so it turned to Microsoft Corporation and Azure services, including Azure App Service and Azure Database for MySQL.

Microsoft Corporation implemented an elastic Azure platform that let Fotoable move toward a PaaS environment with managed databases, content delivery, load balancing, and media services. The result was faster worldwide app distribution in minutes, easier development and maintenance, and lower costs, while supporting more than 600 million users and about 1 million new users a day.
