Case Study: Ruppiner Kliniken achieves better long-term patient monitoring with Microsoft Corporation Azure

A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Ruppiner Kliniken Case Study

Top hospital working with 37 organizations to develop a digital companion that could save lives

Ruppiner Kliniken, a leading hospital in Germany, worked with Microsoft Corporation and the ccc Center for Connected Health Care UG to address the challenge of collecting long-term cardiovascular data outside the hospital without disrupting patients’ daily lives. The goal was to better monitor ECG, blood pressure, and other health measurements over weeks or months to improve early detection and care.

Using Microsoft Corporation’s Azure, Azure IoT Hub, Azure Machine Learning, and Power BI, the consortium built the digilog IoT prototype to ingest, store, analyze, and visualize patient data from fitness bands and wearable sensors. The solution delivers real-time dashboards, KPIs, and predictive insights for patients and physicians, and it is expected to help save lives, lower healthcare costs, and expand access to care in remote areas.
