Thomson Reuters moves e-billing solution to cloud, builds highly extensible and scalable system for customers

Thomson Reuters needed to modernize eBillingHub, its electronic invoicing solution for law firms, so it could handle growing invoice volumes, support more customers, and improve automation and efficiency. The company worked with Microsoft Corporation and the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to replace legacy hosted infrastructure and better serve a global legal market.

Microsoft Corporation helped Thomson Reuters build a highly scalable, extensible cloud architecture using Azure Service Fabric, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Warehouse, and Azure Active Directory. The new system processed 2.5 million invoices in its first three months, scaled across 30 Azure regions, and enabled one customer to move 28,000 invoices worth $250,000 from validation to paid status in under two hours.
