A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung faced the challenge of modernizing FAZ.NET and its online editorial system, moving away from an inflexible on-premises datacenter to gain greater scalability, availability, and flexibility. The company chose Microsoft Corporation’s Azure cloud platform, working with Microsoft partner jambit GmbH to support the migration and lay the foundation for more personalized digital news offerings.
Microsoft Corporation implemented the Azure-based solution, migrating FAZ.NET to the cloud and enabling a highly available, secure, and expandable infrastructure with integrated services. The result was a much faster website with 24/7 availability, even during traffic spikes, while the new personalization project also delivered measurable value: Microsoft’s approach produced the longest user engagement for F9-based articles in the vendor selection process.
