Spotscale, a small company specializing in 3D reconstruction from drone imagery, needed immense computational power to scale its services beyond small areas and process thousands of images for large urban projects without the prohibitive cost of an on-premises data center. By leveraging Microsoft Azure's on-demand virtual machines, Blob storage, and scalable processing, Spotscale cost-effectively handled a project involving 140,000 images. This Microsoft solution enabled them to successfully deliver high-fidelity 3D models to clients like a Swedish city and positioned them to scale for thousands of future projects.
