A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, a not-for-profit event organizer, faced challenges with its static, inefficient websites and disparate systems. They struggled to manage content, scale for peak traffic during their Sydney Royal Easter Show, and gain meaningful insights into attendee behavior. To address this, they partnered with Microsoft and implemented a new digital platform using the Episerver content management system on Microsoft Azure.
By building a central data repository with Microsoft Azure SQL Database and deploying their sites via Azure App Services, Microsoft provided a highly scalable and flexible solution. The results were significant: the website handled 1,900 concurrent users, registered 30,000 new profiles (a 15x increase), and allowed for six seamless website updates during the event. This Microsoft solution provided deep customer insights and created a foundation for future innovation.
