Texas-based healthcare system boosts protection for 30,000 devices in less than a month

CHRISTUS Health, a Texas-based healthcare system with more than 600 centers, needed stronger protection for sensitive patient data and a more complete view of threats across nearly 30,000 devices. Working with Microsoft Corporation, the organization looked beyond standard antivirus and adopted Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection along with Configuration Manager and Windows 10 to improve endpoint security and response.

Microsoft Corporation helped CHRISTUS Health deploy Microsoft Defender ATP across about 30,000 devices in less than a month, with support from a Microsoft expert for phased rollout and training. The result was immediate: the team uncovered about 1,000 previously undetected malware and unwanted software alerts in the first two weeks, improved visibility into vulnerabilities and access rights, and shifted to a more proactive security posture while also speeding up remediation and improving device performance.
