A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
TBI, a Netherlands-based professional services network, needed a faster and more secure way to create project environments for its architects, builders, designers, and engineers. Its on-premises VDI setup took up to two weeks to provision environments and often left teams working with outdated technology, while security and tight control over data remained critical. TBI used Microsoft Azure and Azure Virtual Machines, along with NVIDIA and Citrix technologies, to modernize its workstation approach.
Microsoft Corporation helped TBI deploy GPU-virtualized cloud workstations on Azure, enabling real-time collaboration from any device and allowing project environments to be created in minutes instead of weeks. The new setup improved productivity, reduced hardware and datacenter costs, and lowered support effort through standardized software images. TBI also reported stronger performance for CAD and 3D workloads, with users able to start projects in about five minutes and work faster from day one.
