Tate & Lyle, a global ingredients and solutions provider, wanted to streamline financial reporting across complex SAP and non-SAP systems and create a single source of truth for data. The company turned to Microsoft Corporation’s Azure cloud services, using SAP HANA on Azure Large Instances to support SAP Business Warehouse and overcome limitations in its existing on-premises infrastructure.

Microsoft Corporation helped Tate & Lyle deploy SAP HANA on Azure with Protera, giving the company preconfigured compute, network, and storage resources certified for SAP HANA. The result was faster reporting, greater capacity, and no major infrastructure investment, with 26 non-SAP data sources consolidated into one platform. Tate & Lyle also expects the solution to shorten month-end close and improve decision-making across global, regional, division, and customer levels.
