A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
TalkTalk, a UK telecommunications company, needed to improve data-driven decision-making, customer responsiveness, and repair support while also meeting new GDPR requirements. To do this, TalkTalk turned to Microsoft Corporation’s Azure platform and worked with partner endjin to modernize its data capabilities and move toward a more scalable, secure cloud-based approach.
Microsoft Corporation and endjin implemented an Azure-based modern data platform, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Lake, Data Lake Analytics, Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft 365/Office 365 services. The solution processed 15GB of data per day for anomaly detection, enabled real-time and batch pipelines, and introduced security and DevOps practices; later GDPR-focused work added PII masking and pseudonymization. TalkTalk reported faster, more consistent, and more efficient delivery, and it was able to scale the approach across the wider business.
