Yara, the global fertilizer company, needed a way to support worldwide collaboration while protecting sensitive documents, emails, and files across its 15,000 employees and operations in more than 160 countries. Working with Microsoft Corporation, Yara used Microsoft Azure Information Protection as part of its broader Microsoft cloud security stack to better classify and control confidential information.

Microsoft Corporation helped Yara deploy Azure Information Protection globally in just two months for 14,000 users and 10,000 devices. The solution automatically classified and encrypted files based on labels like confidential or strictly confidential, restricted access to designated users, and improved compliance and confidence for employees handling sensitive information, while also helping prepare for GDPR requirements.
