Students Form the Next Generation of Consultants with a Microsoft Dynamics Partner in Germany

Fachhochschule Dortmund, a university in Germany, collaborated with Microsoft Corporation through its Microsoft Dynamics Academic Alliance program to better prepare its students for careers in the technology sector. The university needed a way to bridge the gap between academic theory and the practical skills required by the industry, ensuring graduates were job-ready for roles involving Microsoft Dynamics.

The solution involved a partnership with Microsoft partner Best Practice IT Solutions GmbH, whose director, Jorn-Arne Körnich, taught a dedicated lecture series on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. This included both classroom instruction and a competitive internship program, providing students with hands-on experience. As a result, Microsoft and its partner successfully created a pipeline of qualified talent; Best Practice has hired four graduates from the program since 2013, directly building their team with skilled consultants proficient in Microsoft Dynamics.
