The State of Hawaii was facing the challenge of delivering government services efficiently across multiple islands while reducing paper use, costs, and delays in document processing. Working with Microsoft Corporation and Adobe, the state used Microsoft SharePoint workflows along with Adobe Sign to support electronic documents and signatures.

Microsoft Corporation helped the State of Hawaii implement a more paperless approval process that streamlined document routing and tracking. The results included 80% less time to process new hires, more than 64,000 electronic signature transactions in the first year, and signed approvals returned in hours instead of weeks, improving service delivery and efficiency.
