Startup brings AI to genomics and microbiome to prepare biology R&D for data-driven era

Eagle Genomics, a UK-based life sciences R&D startup, needed to scale its AI-augmented genomics and microbiome platform, ADS, to help scientists make data-driven decisions from massive biological datasets. The company wanted to accelerate enterprise adoption and better align its cloud and AI strategy with a more enterprise-focused vendor, choosing Microsoft Corporation and its Azure AI, Azure Cognitive Services, and Microsoft for Startups support.

Microsoft Corporation helped Eagle Genomics build and grow its platform using Azure AI technologies, trained its engineers through the Microsoft ScaleUp program, and supported enterprise sales and customer transitions to Azure. The partnership led to five new customers, stronger engagement with large enterprise accounts, and an expectation that revenue would double in the current financial year, with further growth projected for the next year.
