Southwest Local School District maps a bright academic future for Ohio students with online productivity tools

Southwest Local School District, a large K-12 district in southwest Ohio, needed a more consistent way to manage devices and support student learning across classrooms. After years of mixing Chromebooks and Windows devices, the district wanted to simplify inventory management, standardize the learning experience, and give students the same digital tools they would use in college and the workplace using Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Windows 10 touchscreen laptops, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and Microsoft Intune, quickly deploying 2,600 devices for students in grades 5–12. The result was greater student engagement, improved organization, easier assignment distribution, and more personalized learning, with teachers able to track progress more effectively and students staying productive at school and at home.
