IncaX, a UK-based software company and creator of the CopTrax in-car video solution for law enforcement, sought to enhance its product by adding mapping capabilities. Their challenge was to provide command staff with a live view of vehicle locations and secure, objective location data for event reconstruction, all while ensuring compatibility with their existing Microsoft .NET applications. To address this, they turned to vendor Microsoft Corporation.

The solution involved deploying Microsoft's Bing Maps, which was selected for its flexibility, high-quality imagery, and seamless interoperability. This integration provided real-time asset tracking, geofencing for alerts, and improved data visualization. As a result, IncaX achieved a 50 percent faster time to market and 50 percent lower development costs. For law enforcement users, the solution enhanced day-to-day decision making, officer safety, and ensured data met strict FBI CJIS compliance standards through storage on the Microsoft Azure Government cloud.
