Singapore tertiary institution streamlines teaching and learning with cloud-based solutions

Republic Polytechnic, a Singapore higher education institution, needed to replace an aging, disconnected learning management system with a modern, mobile-friendly platform that could support personalized learning for its 15,000 students. The institute wanted a single environment that would improve access to tools and data for lecturers, students, and administrators, and better match the digital expectations of today’s learners. Microsoft Corporation technologies such as Office 365, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business, and Azure Active Directory were central to the new approach.

Microsoft Corporation, working with partner AvePoint, helped Republic Polytechnic build LEO 2.0, an integrated LMS on Office 365 that consolidated teaching, collaboration, storage, communication, and authentication in one cloud-based system. The result streamlined administration, improved lecturer-student engagement, and made student learning more personalized and accessible; it also simplified reporting and system management while enabling industry partners to provide internship feedback directly in the platform.
