Siemens Healthineers helps Biosense Webster unlock insights into cardiac arrhythmia with Azure-based teamplay network

Siemens Healthineers wanted to break down the closed, fragmented nature of healthcare data so providers like Biosense Webster could share information and improve outcomes for cardiac arrhythmia treatment. Working with Microsoft Corporation and its Azure platform, Siemens Healthineers built the cloud-based teamplay network to support secure collaboration, data sharing, and application development across healthcare facilities.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure-based services including Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Kubernetes Service to centralize data, support a secure microservices architecture, and enable AI-driven insights. The result is a scalable, privacy-by-design platform connecting more than 4,000 facilities and enabling analysis of data from 600,000 Siemens Healthineers systems worldwide, helping lower the cost of modern data management and improve patient outcomes.
