SetPoint Medical, a Los Angeles medical devices company, is developing bioelectronic medicine to treat autoimmune diseases more safely and cost-effectively. As it built its implantable neurostimulator, the company needed to reduce manufacturing complexity, support Bluetooth connectivity, and maintain compliance while continuing to use its existing Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Win32-based applications.

Microsoft Corporation helped SetPoint Medical move to .NET Core 3 on Windows 10, enabling the company to keep its existing WPF apps, use built-in Bluetooth features, and avoid rewriting software. The migration took just two days and simplified development, improved production efficiency, and cut engineering and support time; SetPoint Medical also said .NET Core 3 would lead to significantly faster development over the long term.
