A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
Solberg skole, a K-12 school in Norway’s Nedre Eiker municipality, needed a way to advance digital literacy and build a stronger STEM curriculum while fitting into an existing school IT environment. Teachers also wanted tools that were familiar and easy to adopt, so they could spend less time learning software and more time on interdisciplinary teaching for students in grades four through seven.
Microsoft Corporation provided the solution with Windows 10 devices, Office 365, OneNote, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and related Microsoft Education tools on HP x360 1:1 devices. The rollout helped Solberg skole become the first school in the district with a 1:1 program, enabling real-time collaboration, richer STEM lessons, and more creative student work; the school reported that Microsoft tools made it easier to deliver future-ready learning and support students for university and careers.
