School district catapults one-to-one learning to next level with automated data sync

Riverview School District, a school district in Washington State, sought to advance its one-to-one learning program but was hampered by inefficient manual processes. Manually syncing student roster data from its student information system to educational software was a major time sink for its IT staff and teachers, preventing them from fully leveraging Microsoft Office 365 Education.

By implementing Microsoft School Data Sync (SDS), the district automated its data synchronization. This Microsoft solution, deployed with help from partner AssistX, integrated with ClassPolicy and Microsoft Classroom to create dynamic, automatically updating class rosters. The result was a dramatic reduction in IT maintenance time, cutting a 16-hour manual process down to just 4 hours of initial setup, which gave teachers more time to focus on personalized student instruction.
