Saudi Aviation company boosts productivity by automating project management, following best practices

General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), which oversees Saudi Arabia’s airports, was spending too much time creating operational reports and managing projects across teams using inconsistent methods. To support its digital transformation, GACA worked with Microsoft Corporation through its IT services provider SAVIT, using Microsoft Project Online and Microsoft Power BI to modernize project management and reporting.

Microsoft Corporation’s cloud-based solution unified project data, added role-based dashboards, and automated reporting so managers and executives could track progress and make faster decisions. The results were significant: approvals dropped from about a month to roughly five days, managers spent less time reporting and more time managing, and communication became faster and more efficient across GACA.
