Case Study: SATAVIA achieves smarter, safer aviation decision intelligence with Microsoft Azure from Microsoft Corporation

A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the SATAVIA Case Study

SATAVIA is flying smarter with decision intelligence powered by Microsoft Azure

SATAVIA, a UK-based aviation technology company, needed a scalable way to analyze large environmental, weather, and aircraft datasets to help airlines reduce unscheduled maintenance and flight disruption. To build its decision intelligence platform, SATAVIA used Microsoft Azure, supported by Microsoft for Startups and other Microsoft tools.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure as the core cloud architecture, enabling SATAVIA to process years of atmospheric data in days, aggregate live and forecast datasets, and create reporting dashboards with Power BI. The result was faster, more scalable analysis with stronger security and lower infrastructure stress, helping SATAVIA commercialize its research and improve route risk assessment, predictive maintenance, and operational reliability for airlines.
